Ronen is a Persian diaspora artist with a double degree in Arts and Business from Monash University. As a multi-disciplinary artist, Ronen has a wide range of talents and interests. He is also Mynamechef (Mynamechef069 on fortnite) likes to cook with his friends. His practice is socially informed (still learning) and homie-driven. Currently he’s been developing his culinary skills and exploring the social, political and individual power of food.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Ronen has over 4 years of treasury and board experience and is a member of the Business and Commerce Student Society, Ronen honed his skills in financial management and leadership. He also serves as the current TCB treasurer, where he has proven himself to be a capable and reliable steward of the organisation's resources.

Rohan brings over two decades of experience in the music industry and experimental arts scenes in Australia and internationally. Known for his extensive network across artistic and cultural communities, Rohan has a proven track record in producing complex, high-quality events that range from intimate performances to large-scale events.

His background in hospitality has equipped him with exceptional logistical, organisational, and people management skills, which he applies to every stage of event production, from concept development and artist liaison to technical delivery and audience experience.

In addition to his producing expertise, Rohan is an acclaimed experimental musician whose practice pushes the boundaries of percussion, investigating rhythm, texture, and the communicative potential of music as a form of language. His dual perspective as both producer and artist enables him to work fluidly between creative vision and practical realisation, making him a central force in shaping Liquid Architecture’s programs.

James Howard is a Jaadwa composer, producer and sound artist with a contemporary music practice that establishes connection to his First Nations culture, Country, and personal identity. His creative work informs a continuous process of cultural reclamation, often layering personal, family, and community narratives into long-form, improvised ambient and electronic works.

Howard has worked with a range of creative organisations including Australian Dance Theatre, Bangarra Dance Theatre, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, RISING Festival, YIRRAMBOI, and the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art. His recent live performance project with Alice Skye and Michael Julian, Gikilangangu Wergaia won Best in Music at the 2024 Melbourne Fringe Festival. In 2022 he was awarded his PhD (Indigenous Arts and Culture), from the Faculty of Fine Art and Music, University of Melbourne, for his thesis titled Composing Cultural Reclamation: Reconnecting to an Indigenous Cultural Heritage through a Music Practice.

Laura McLean is a Melbourne-based curator, writer, and researcher interested in the politics of representation and the representation of politics in contemporary art. Past curatorial projects include Civics, Maroondah Federation Estate Gallery, Melbourne (2020); Startup States, Sarai-CSDS, Delhi (2019); The Conversational Cosmos, West Space, Melbourne (2017); Planetary Gardening, Photo Access, Canberra (2017); Zoe v Bios: Behavioural Modernity & Orgs, Artistic Bokeh, MuseumsQuartier, Vienna (2015); and Contingent Movements Archive, Maldives Pavilion, 55th Venice Biennale and UNESCO, Paris (2013). Her writing has been published by The MIT Press, ArtAsiaPacific, Eyeline, HKW Technosphere Magazine, Arena, and Runway Journal, among others, and she was an editor and Chair of Runway Journal from 2015-17. Laura holds an MFA (Distinction) in Curating from Goldsmiths, University of London, and is currently undertaking a PhD in Curatorial Practice at Monash University, where she also teaches.

Helen Grogan – Archivist
Develops Liquid Architecture’s archives, integrating archival material into public programs and the digital platform.

Helen Grogan is an artist, curator, archivist, and advisor with over 20 years of experience across institutional and independent arts contexts in Australia and internationally. She is a 2025–2026 Samstag Fellow. Helen’s artistic practice spans performance, exhibition, and critical documentation, with work presented at leading venues such as the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, National Gallery of Victoria, Gertrude Contemporary, and international spaces including Rijksakademie Amsterdam and HAU Berlin.

An experienced university lecturer and research supervisor, Helen has contributed to programs at the Victorian College of the Arts, RMIT, Deakin University, and others. Her curatorial projects include Open Archive, The Experimental Music and Movement Workshop, and Stranger Than Fiction Symposium.

Helen specialises in time-based art documentation and archiving, working extensively as an archivist with organisations such as Liquid Architecture and Performance Review. Since 2022, she directs Open Practice Studio, supporting artists and organisations working with time-based art and intangible cultural heritage.

She holds qualifications in choreography, philosophy, and visual art from top institutions including the University of Melbourne and SNDO Amsterdam.

Maresca Hidayat is an advertising and film student completing a double degree at the University of Indonesia and Deakin University. With a background in film production, music, and journalism, Maresca is interested in how sound, media, and storytelling can shape public engagement and cultural discourse. His experience spans content development, campaign thinking, and creative production, with a particular interest in culture, sustainability, and audience-focused communication within the arts sector.

Danny is a senior lecturer in Interdisciplinary Practice at Victorian College of the Arts (University of Melbourne) where he is also coordinator of research for Design and Production. His book Artistic Research in the Future Academy was published by Intellect/University of Chicago Press in 2017, and he is on the Editorial Board of the Journal for Artistic Research and is co-convenor of the Asia Pacific Artistic Research Network. As a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) he worked for intergovernmental agencies such as United Nations Development Programme and ASEAN on new media and development and was editor of the book Internet Governance: Asia Pacific Perspectives (Elsevier/UNDP 2006). He works with the Auckland-based art collective Local Time. He moved from Gadigal country in Sydney to Port Chalmers / Koputai, Aotearoa New Zealand in 1993, performing improvised sound and releasing recordings through the 1990s with Peter Stapleton and Kim Pieters in the groups Rain and Flies Inside the Sun (with Brian Crook); with Michael Morley in the Tanaka-Nixon Meeting; and as Cobweb Iris

Rebeca is a producer with extensive experience across multiple Metro Melbourne Inner North Local Government Areas. Rebeca understands the local government context whilst also having relationships and experience in small to medium arts orgs. She has been working in the space of community engaged practice and is passionate about creating arts access for under-represented communities. She has a strong track record of successful projects with youth, the LGBTQIA+ community, CALD communities and seniors. She has worked across visual arts, performing arts and digital media, with a range of government and private stakeholders. These include major festivals, local and state Government, ARI’s, schools, community health orgs, and social enterprises. She completed a degree in Art History and Curatorship at Monash University in 2017 and in 2019 was selected for Leadership Victoria’s LGBTQIA+ Leadership program. She also runs her own community building electronic music events in which she has toured international artists, and is a DJ.

Mark is a Certified Practising Accountant with extensive experience in the creative industries sector. He is currently Management Accountant at ACMI, having previously worked in a similar role at Film Victoria. Along the way, he has helped countless singers, actors, and even clowns get their taxes in order – no laughing matter! When not crunching numbers, you can find Mark sitting back with a fine drop of Scotch whisky, soaking up some even finer tunes.

Claire is an education designer and creative producer with experience in non-profit arts organisations, higher education and start-ups. She has a background in socially engaged arts practice and publishing, most often working across disciplines to produce multimodal projects. Most recently, Claire has contributed to the launch of Industri Education, a live music education organisation aiming to provide pathways into industry, as the Operations and Education Lead. A notable achievement has been collaborating with live music industry stakeholders to design new courses in technical production. Claire holds a Juris Doctor and a Master of Arts and Community Practice. She aims to continue developing her diverse skill set and passion for relational community practice to contribute to First Nations peoples’ fight for justice.

Monica is a Melbourne-based pianist and composer of classical contemporary and experimental music. Born in Malaysia and then migrating to Australia in her teens, Monica initially practiced as a Tax Consultant for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, before pursuing her own interests in business and the arts. She has produced work for theatre, contemporary dance, installations, and film, as well as solo and ensemble instrumental pieces. She is interested in new cross-disciplinary genres and forms as well as combinations of new technology with music. Monica is currently undertaking a PhD at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music, University of Melbourne in interactive technology, AI and gesture-led composition. Monica is co-founder of Project Eleven, a philanthropic initiative which supports the contemporary arts and serves on the boards of the Melbourne Recital Centre, the Substation as well as the Member’s Council for Musica Viva.

Gail is a sound artist and writer based on Dharug and Gundungurra land (Katoomba, NSW). Her work spans soundtracks for dance, theatre and video, solo electro-acoustic performance as well sound installations for gallery contexts, both solo and in collaboration. She has performed her live compositions and exhibited sound installations nationally and internationally including in Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, France, Norway and the Netherlands. In 2015–16 she was awarded an Emerging & Experimental Arts Fellowship from the Australia Council. She has undertaken numerous radio commissions and releases music on her own label Metal Bitch Recordings as well as Flaming Pines, Endgame Records and room40. She curates events and exhibitions and writes fictively and factually about sound and media art, working for RealTime magazine for over 15 years. She has been on the board of Performance Space (2011-2014), and a peer assessor for the Australia Council. She has just completed a PhD in creative sound theory at UTS.

David is an artist and composer, known for his experimental, and at times minimalist music, who has worked with electronics, contemporary ensembles, film, theatre, and experimental opera. Together with Sonia Leber, David has created installation artworks using sound, video, architecture and public participation. Exhibitions include ‘56th Venice Biennale (2015), ‘19th Biennale of Sydney (2014), and Melbourne Now, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne (2013-14). Festivals featuring Chesworth’s music and sound works include Ars Electronica; Festival D’Automne de Paris; Bang on a Can Marathon, New York, Biennale of Sydney; Adelaide and Melbourne Festivals; and MONA FOMA. Early in his career he was co-founder of post-punk band Essendon Airport and for five years was coordinator of the Clifton Hill Community Music Centre, Melbourne. David is a Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellow at RMIT University, Melbourne, researching auditory archives.

Sally Golding is an Australian-British interdisciplinary artist based in Kamberri/Canberra, working across participatory installations, immersive audiovisual performances, situational sound art, and creative-critical writing.

Her practice activates the social architecture of shared spaces, by transforming traditional and emerging media communication technologies into ephemeral and multisensory experiences. Golding’s work draws on themes of perception and phenomenology to create encounters that question reality and deconstruct traditional narrative forms such as through signals and transmissions.

Lachlan is an accomplished senior manager in the staffing and consulting industry, an experienced non-profit director and board member, and a passionate supporter of Australian contemporary arts. He has over a decade of experience engaging with Federal, State, and Local Government, with a proven track record in securing high-value tenders and grants, aligning operational delivery with strategic objectives, and driving organisational growth. His art industry experience includes serving as an Executive Board Member and Grants Coordinator at Blindside Gallery, where he contributed to strategic planning, governance oversight, and funding development. Lachlan is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
