Carmen-Sibha Keiso is an Arab multimedia artist and curator working in performance, video, and text. Their practice functions as a reflexive mise-en-scène, wherein current socio-political and global cultural industries are fused with the semantics of social performativity. 

Chiming millennial diaspora with contemporary cultural trends as an attempt to divulge the way in which we analyse the self within these spheres. Keiso employs a socially-collaborative and research based process, wherein they direct a form of 'theatre' involving practitioners from a multitude of disciplines.

Keiso directs ‘Read the Room’, an expanded literary practice space that hosts writing workshops, lectures, screenings, readings and exhibitions in Melbourne. In addition to the release of a feature length film in 2018, Keiso has sustained a documentative film practice, collaborating with local talent in releasing ‘MeowTV’ and the upcoming ‘WetBody Tour’. Keiso presented a lecture as part of the Writing & Concepts 2019 series at SIGNAL artspace and recently completed a directing course at HB Studios in NYC, alongside a mentorship with artist Keren Cytter as part of a professional development opportunity funded by the Ian Potter Cultural Trust. 

Keiso is currently working under renowned minimalist filmmaker and composer Phill Niblock and is undergoing an emerging writers grant that will be published in the fall by Montez Press UK.

Liang Luscombe's practice encompasses painting, sculpture, and moving image that engage in a process of generative questioning of how images and film affect audiences. She received her MFA at Virginia Commonwealth University, USA. She has been included in screenings at OpenTV, Chicago; Comfort Station, Chicago; and Vehicle, NYC. She has undertaken residencies at Chicago Artist Coalition’s HATCH residency program, Chicago, 2019; SOMA Summer, Mexico City, 2018; Australia Council Studio, British School at Rome, 2013; and Perth Institute of Contemporary Art Studio Residency, Perth, 2011. She was the recipient of an Australia Council JUMP Mentorship in 2013 and was mentored by Australian painter Angela Brennan. R. Rebeiro (My Disco/Downwards) is a musician from Melbourne, Australia. As a percussionist working with electronic and acoustic sounds, R. Rebeiro explores probability as an artistic methodology to enact rhythmic expression. Combining both the use and misuse of instruments, R. Rebeiro exemplifies a musical practice that is simultaneously improvisational and compositional. Performances may be centred around prepared percussion/objects or generative electronic sound sequencing systems that investigate a unique variety of combinations. R. Rebeiro uses rhythm as a temporal art form to explore ideas around cause and effect, variation, acceptance, spiritual expressionism and deep listening. Gian Manik is a Naarm-based artist whose dextrous approach to image-making is characterised by an irreverence for genre and driven by a compulsion to paint. Interested in undermining the colonial properties arming the buttresses of historical painting, Manik ambiguates tradition through the representation of multivalent or tangential subjects.

Mara is a sound artist and composer creating performed pieces, and commissioned soundtracks for dance, film, and installations. Her practice explores the crossover between physical and digital environments through the use of field recording and digital manipulation. As well as working with sound, Mara’s practice extends to print making, poetry, curating, and coding, frequently mixing these mediums to create works with an emphasis on world building. Informed by interactions and perspectives within environments, her work questions the coexistence and understanding between those who inhabit them. In 2019 she graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor of Design (Digital Media) and went on to attend LungA School (Seyðisfjörður, Iceland) in early 2020.
