Bus Projects and Craft Victoria are thrilled to announce their forthcoming collaboration on a new project exploring the unique relationship between craft and sound. The Sound Playground features newly commissioned experimental instruments, sound sculptures and sonic installations, which will be ‘played’ in a series of special performances. The Sound Playground features works by both established and emerging Melbourne-based artists including Ros Bandt & Albert Mishriki, Rod Cooper, Emma Lashmar and Rowan McNaught.
fortyfivedownstairs is a not-for-profit theatre and gallery based at 45 Flinders Lane, Melbourne, Australia. We showcase independent, experimental and through-provoking visual art, theatre, live music and discussion.
Martin Kay (aka Mountain Black) is a Melbourne sound artist who uses field recordings and cross-synthesis techniques to construct hyper-real and abstract immersive soundscapes for live performance, compositions, installations & sound designs.
